Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Cosmic Penguin app ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

You can play Cosmic Penguin as a Guest without providing any personal information. If you choose to sign in or use certain features, we collect:

• Account information — when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and email address to create your account.
• Profile & gameplay data — your chosen callsign (username), high scores, level progress, coins, and owned/equipped cosmetic items, so your progress can be saved and synced.
• Purchases — records of in-app diamond purchases (product, transaction identifier, and diamond balance). Payment itself is processed by Apple; we never receive your card details.
• Social features — if you add friends, we store your friend list and friend requests so the feature can work.
• Leaderboard entries — your callsign and scores, which are visible to other players on leaderboards.

How we use your information

• To provide and save your game progress and sync it across your devices.
• To operate leaderboards, friends, and in-app purchases.
• To keep the app secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers

We share the minimum data needed with trusted providers who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase — secure database and authentication hosting for your account and game data.
• RevenueCat — validates and records in-app purchases.
• Apple and Google — sign-in providers, when you choose to use them.

Children's privacy

Cosmic Penguin is suitable for all ages and does not target children with advertising. We do not knowingly collect more personal information than described above. If you believe a child has provided information you would like removed, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. You can also request deletion by emailing us at the address below — we will remove your data within 30 days.

Your choices

• Play as a Guest to use the game without an account.
• Delete your account in-app (Settings → Account → Delete Account).
• Request access to, or deletion of, your data by contacting us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
